Notes and Reminders for this week:
Learning in our Classroom:
- We have an online field trip with the Royal Tyrell Museum at 11:00 am. The course will explain the fossil heritage around Alberta and what to do when you find a fossil. They will also speak to the physical geography of Alberta.
- Wednesday is our library day! Please help your children remember their books.
- Wednesday is also our unofficial Captain America Shirt day or hero shirt day. No need to participate, but it has turned into a fun tradition in our classroom.
- November 1st is Lunch On The Go.
Learning in our Classroom:
- Grade 4s & 5s will be given their final projects for our Geography Unit in Social Studies. You can find more information on our Flipped Classroom Website. Work will be completed in class.
- Our compost is going strong! We hope that in the spring we will have beautiful soil to plant flowers with.
- We are continuing to practice subtraction with regrouping in our Math stations as well as starting to introduce multiplication. Our main focus is subtraction and will be our final week. If you need more resources on subtraction please visit the Math page on this website.
- This is our final week with the gymnastics equipment for gym.
- We will continue to learn about healthy eating in Health class.
- We are learning different vocabulary in our French lessons and learning simple grammar rules.
- We decorated some gourds in art today! Enjoy the nice fall decoration - it should've been sent home with your child.... you might want to check their backpacks.
