Notes and Reminders:
Math: We are still developing our basic fact recall (this will be an all year type of thing). We are also exploring how to solve 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication. I will be teaching a variety of ways to solve these type of problems. There are videos under the Math section of how to solve these types of problems. Please feel free to contact me or reference those videos if you need any help at home.
Social: We will start to explore the immigrants that came to settle in Alberta and Canada and how they contributed to our identity.
Writing: We are writing lots of piece focused on opinion. Prompts we use include: Would You Rather or What is Your Favourite...
Use these prompts while speaking with your child. Ask them to elaborate on their thoughts. This is a word we are using and developing strategies to help explain our ideas.
Health: We continue to speak about positive friendships.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions!

- There is no school next week for students
- I handed out 2-digit by 2-digit practice sheets. I would really appreciate if the students could do some of it during their break. It would be great practice and would keep the ball rolling when we come together.
- February 27th is Pink Shirt Day (Anti-Bullying Day).
- Have a great Family Day long weekend!
