Notes and Reminders:
This weeks learning:
Math: I have introduced a new program called Math prodigy. An adventure game mixed with math problems. Students are welcome to play at home and can play at school once their work is completed. We continue to work on our multiplication facts and strategies to solve long multiplication problems.
Science: Grade 5 students will present their circuits using a motor on Monday and Grade 4s will race their second edition of their cars. The cars will be moved using either, a balloon, an elastic, or a ramp.
Gym: We say goodbye to basketball and are beginning to work on our hockey skills!
Health: We continue to talk about friendships and have established that we have a choice in who we want to spend our time with. We read a book titled Enemy Pie, a great read if you have not read it before.
Reading: Students continue to be challenged in a variety of literacy based activities including puppet show writing, novel studies, and plays.
Writing: We are developing skills to write opinion based pieces and are working on elaborating our thoughts.
French: We continue to learn French vocabulary for Carnaval.
